[ A bad habit ]

Huee guys!

This is my first blogpost *gasp*
I've never blogged before... so I'm kinda excited and nervous at the same time!

Why did I start blogging?

Firstly, thank you for asking! LOL I'm a loner, I know.. xd

I've never had the habit of documenting my life. I didn't have a diary when I was little, I didn't take pictures, I only had my memory.

Do you see the problem here?!

My memory isn't THAT great. So lots of fun stuff that happened in my life would slowly disappear out of my head. Yup... true story qq

Luckily my parents and one of my best friends did take pictures of important happenings in my life like: birthdays, outings with family and friends, my graduation, school proms etc.

Even though they documented these special moments of my life.. It's still different from my own experience. I was in all the pictures, but I couldn't show other people what I saw, what amused me and what touched me. Simply because I didn't care to take some pictures or write about it.

This bad habbit changed when Mantik (my sweet bf) bought me a camera for my 20th birthday. He got me a Fujifilm Finepix F660EXR! I immediately fell in love with this camera <3

My parents did have a digital camera, a super small canon, but the memory card was CRAP-DE-LA-CRAP. We had a memory card with only 256 MB (whuuut?!).
It was a nightmare!
For example: When I went to Rome with my graduation class, I could only take 90+/- photos and I had to delete pictures to make room for other pictures!

OK. Back to 2014.

When I started taking more and more pictures. I realised it's fun and important to document my life, because this way I won't forget all the memories I've made with my loved ones. And now I love to share these memories with other people!

Ok, You're capturing memories with a camera now. But why start a blog?
People always say: a picture says more than a thousand words etc.
I don't think this is correct.

Photos can capture activities, (fake) emotions, happenings and landscapes.

But pictures CAN'T capture my thoughts at that specific moment, my view on certain things, my opinion about stuff and my inner emotions.

The only way to know someone's state of mind is when someone tells you or when he/she writes it down.
So, a blog is a better way to document these kinds of emotions, opinions, views than a camera.

I think it's fun to read how I thought about stuff when I was younger.. just to see how I've changed!

Well, this is my answer. I hope I can keep up this blog and share happy, sad, exciting and fun moments with my family and friends and with you guys <3

Have a nice day =D
